A pair of dark brown tortoise acetate framed sunglasses by Ratti Persol. This is arguably, next to the folding 714 model made famous by Steve McQueen, the most iconic of sunglasses to come out of Italy.
This example is in 'New Old Stock' condition, and exceptionally rare to find today. They are signed "Ratti" on the arm, meaning that these were made before the acquisition of Persol by Luxotica. They are presented with the original 649 hang tag.
The glasses have a stunning light brown tortoise shell frame and are fitted with the signed original Persol crystal lenses. The arms feature the patented 'Meflecto' arms that can be formed to fit different sized heads, making them more comfortable wear. Made in Italy, circa 1980's.
